EUROCODE: BUILDING ‘TRUST’ FOR THE FUTURE - AGIKONS SH.P.K

What is the safest place? THE PLACE WHERE WE SPEND LIFE!

The safest place cannot be generalized to a single one, as safe should be the place where we walk, where we work, where we live.

Living to the Eurocode standard means safety and reliability. This is a standard that should be used by all construction companies in Albania

The construction and construction products sector is essential for the European economy, representing approximately 10% of the EU's GDP (Gross Domestic Product). Construction also represents a key component in the quality of life of citizens, as they spend a considerable amount of time in buildings and other infrastructures.

In the presence of natural and man-made hazards, the well-being of citizens depends on the performance of the structures that surround them. The availability of advanced European codes, Eurocodes, is a starting condition for the reduction and harmonization of risk in construction.

The Eurocodes play a key role in the European Commission's strategy to make European construction companies more competitive, both within the EU and in the global market.

Implementation of the Eurocodes

The Eurocodes have reached the final stage of national implementation by the Member States as they are replacing all national standards. The Eurocodes provide common technical rules for the design of buildings and other civil engineering works and construction products. Furthermore, they aim to lead to more uniform levels of safety in construction in Europe.

Further harmonisation of the Eurocodes

The Eurocodes are the result of a long procedure of merging and harmonising the different design traditions in the Member States. At the same time, they retain exclusive competence and responsibility for the levels of safety. The purpose of the Eurocodes is to provide: - a means of proving compliance with the requirements for mechanical strength and durability in case of fire;
- a basis for construction and engineering contract specifications;
- a framework for the creation of harmonised technical specifications for building products.

The Eurocodes cover:

- the basis of structural design;
- actions on structures;
- the design of concrete, steel, timber, masonry and aluminium structures;
- geotechnical design and
- the design, assessment and reconstruction of structures for earthquake resistance.

AGIKONS SH.P.K has a strong commitment to excellence and the highest quality of construction and services. We always seek growth and improvement in all the projects we undertake.
